ARIANA UNIROW is a first blog created by Mochammad Rifai which is a voluntary blog created to support UNIROW. In 2005, when there is only few blog posted about UNIROW, Me (Mochammad Rifai) created more than ninety six blogs about UNIROW. The reasons on why I did this is simple, to introduce UNIROW to the whole world. The mission was initially started in may 2005 by created free blog about UNIROW. After two years struggle to introduce UNIROW through internet, in 2007, a new blog was built from the scratch. the name was ARIANA UNIROW. The real address is ARIANA-UNIROW.BLOGSPOT.COM and can be accesses through www.ariana-unirow.blogspot.com which is developed by me. It was hosted in Blogger. The development went smoothly when I actively updated it in earlier 2008. In that time, I write most story about what was happen in UNIROW and what may happen at present time.
ARIANA UNIROW have major visitors from Foreign countries when it released to public in 2008. It is because the language being used in ARIANA UNIROW is English, an international language used by most countries in the world. Many people who searching about education in Indonesia will visit ARIANA UNIROW. It is the first platform that actively introduce UNIROW to the whole world. It also the first blog that was being featured in local newspaper for actively written useful articles and info about current development of local universities.
In January 2009, ARIANA UNIROW have the first ads which is supported by ADBRITE, CHITIKA and INFOLINKS. The decision to have ads on it is due to future development of ARIANA UNIROW. In that time, I decide to upgrade ARIANA UNIROW into another useful domain. After a month filled with small ads, a new domain was available. The money from ads are sufficient to get a new domain. ARICK.net which can be accessed through www.arick.net is replacing ARIANA UNIROW. In the first quarter of 2009, ARIANA UNIROW migrated from blogger BlogSpot hosting into self hosted hosting. The platform was Wordpress. It hosted under unlimited bandwidth. In the second quarter of 2009, it have a daily visitors of 3400 – 9000 people with more than 5000 until 12000 pageviews.
The hosting was unable to hold ARIANA UNIROW. The error in hosting was being announced by the hosting provider. However, while waiting the hosting provider to fix it (which is never completed) almost all data were lost. No backup was being made at that point. This lead into great disaster. Most search Engine decide to un-indexed it for too many links errors. I tried to fix it by switching back to blogger BlogSpot blog but everything were too late. Arick.net was being sandboxed by some search engine. This condition made me think to separate ARICK.net and ARIANA-UNIROW.BlogSpot.com which is the same blog. The decision is to save the project. If Arick.net is dying, the mission to introduce UNIROW must go on. However, ARIANA-UNIROW.BlogSpot.com and ARICK.net have the same content because the real blog and content from ARICK.net were coming from ARIANA-UNIROW.blogspot.com which is converted into TLD.
After separate ARIANA-UNIROW.BlogSpot.com with ARICK.net, the bad things which isn’t anticipated was happen. ARIANA-UNIROW.BlogSpot.com was flagged as supplemental blog because the content was exactly the same as ARICK.net. ARIANA UNIROW lost almost the everything because flagged as the copy pasted blog from ARICK.net. This made the mission failed.
Learning from the incident above and the successful mission to introduce UNIROW through ARIANA UNIROW in 2009, ME (Mochammad Rifai) built UNIROW.ASIA to continue the mission of ARIANA UNIROW which is to introduce UNIROW to the whole world. ARIANA UNIROW officially stopped the development in the end of 2009. In 2009, the mission to introduce UNIROW was being taken over by domain UNIROW-STITMA.net which is named as UNIROW and STITMA-UNIROW.NET (formerly known as UNIROW TUBAN). However, both of them only introduce UNIROW with English. Two years later after ARIANA UNIROW being stopped from development, UNIROW ASIA was being created in September 2011. Through multiples subdomains, UNIROW ASIA will continue the spirit of ARIANA UNIROW to introduce UNIROW without anyone paid it because it is the ‘no one paid us’ mission.
UNIROW ASIA is different with two blogs which are trying to replace ARIANA UNIROW. Both of them are using English as primary language which is only effective to introduce UNIROW for the foreign countries. While observing the internet, many people who cannot speak and understand English cannot fully understand about UNIROW. UNIROW ASIA tries to tackle this problem by creating subdomain which is using BAHASA INDONESIA as the primary language. It will be in BLOG.UNIROW.ASIA. However, It will only available in the middle 2012 due to so works in real life. Multiple subdomains have been created and most of them will use English while the others may use BAHASA.
ARIANA UNIROW is legacy blog with the mission to introduce UNIROW which turn into ARICK.NET and stopped in 2009. The mission was carried over by UNIROW-STITMA.NET and STITMA-UNIROW.NET until 2011. In September 2011, The mission was continued by UNIROW ASIA. With the title of UNIROW ASIA OFFICIAL SITE, this site tried to continue the spirit of ARIANA UNIROW. As the ‘charity blog’, everything was done without any funds given by others.
